Thanks so much Nacho!! This was shot against a late afternoon sun but I love these mountains lined with snow. The harsh light really gave it some pop and some shadows. I appreciate the kind word and encouragement.

Thanks Paul, the late afternoon light was really highlighting the snow covered peaks in June. I used some curve adjustments to bring out the details of the foreground and the fields. Thanks for such great feedback!!

Hi Stan,
Everytime I see someones shots of the mountains out west, it makes me feel like taking another trip out there. I've spent far to little time on that side of the country. (Canada or USA) One day soon maybe. :)
Here is an example of one of my attempts at putting two exposures together. Not a landscape, but the idea is the same. I had the camera on a tripod and used the same fstop for a few shots and changed the shutter speed for the different shots. I used the top half of the shot that gave me some colour in the sky and the bottom half of the shot that had the best exposure for the car that was basically in shadow at the time. Almost exactly the same scenario you have in the above image.

Thanks Andre. I have not tried any 3 exposure HDRs yet but have planned on giving it a whirl when I have some time. I have CS2 and think there HDR capabilities there I have not tried. I shot this coming home from playing the Old Works Golf course in Anaconda,Mt. Was one of our nicest days this spring. We have had a wet and rainy spring so far. I appreciate your thoughts and support.

Hi Stan,
One of the best times of the day to take a shot like this one. A great view from where you were!
One of the things to try here is bracketing three exposures (using a tripod) and combining them later using one of the softwares.
I know sometimes when you see the results from that kind of method, the image can look a little surreal. (but so dramatic)

Thanks Barbara, as you see spring is just coming around the corner. Had some snow and rain yesterday. Snow level was at about 5,000 foot. All the mountains got more white. Glad you liked this one. Just playing with the light.
