Ania!,did anybody told you that the first (near) circle of calligraphy says only one world,and it is Omer.if you want to know why it says Omer in that very proud manner,just read his about,he is the second character in the book (the best 100 characters of history)or some call it the hundred.

Thank you very much for comment, and translation, Abdalla :) Hagia Sophia (or in Turkish Ayasofya) is in Istanbul. It was a Bizantine church first, then turned into mosque when Ottomans entered the Constantinople (but the christian fresques were saved) and now it's a museum.

Amazing photo Ania , great Capture the calligraphy is written in ARABIC .the writing on the right says " OMAR May God Bless him" and on the Left "ALI may god bless him " and they were the second and third "KHALIFA " in the islamic era .Great photo but were is that place ? i've never seen it before ?
