I have a few cats coming here to eat, two of them are fantastic cat-friends (http://www.usefilm.com/Image.asp?ID=1588818 and http://www.usefilm.com/Image.asp?ID=1528788) and Rózia (black and white cat) is the one who is so sick; I managed to get her to vet today and hope after a few days she will come back with new forces...

Bless you for caring for them, there are so many without homes and in great need of care. I had 28 at one time, all house kitties, all spayed and neutered too at my own expense! They all came to us as strays. I've had them live as long as 22 years.

I'm the huge cat lover as well (whole portfolio here for them! ;) ). I'm taking care of some strays, including one sick whom I'm trying to help as much as possible... and my home cat of course.
20 years old, wow, it's a noble and well cared lady!!!

Mine is acting more like a dog ... he is so very loving and affectionate ... and I had dogs and cats during my life ... so I know so well this look in his eye :-)

Thanks Saad....yes most people think of cats as "she" but it is the boy kitties who are often the most affectionate. This fellow is so loving, he follows me everywhere, greats me at the door like a dog when I come home, and actually cries at the door when I am out in my workshop and he knows where I am but can't see me. He is a big butter ball and so much fun...and a good mouser too!

Thank you Ania, you have to understand I am a HUGE lover of cats....I have taken many strays into my care over the past 32 years, at one time we had 28 in our farmhouse. All spayed and neutered and well loved, well fed. Now we are down to 4 house cats and a feral barn cat, we cannot get too near him...so we feed him and keep him as comfortable as is possible through our harsh winters. My cats have always been my "children"...hence, my son...I have 3 boy kitties and 1 old lady...she is nearly 20 years old now.

I guess in most of languages cat is female, my friend Agnieszka said that deeep inside English also (when you don't know the gender of cat and you don't want to say just "it" you say "she"; when you know - either he or she). In Polish we have kot for species and for male, and kotka for female :)
Oh, Harun is a name of our Turkish teacher btw :p
This cat on photo is a lovely guy as I see :)

Ania! when we say a cat we mean the female,(he) got another name Aron pronounced in Arabic Haroon,it is the same name of Moses brother in the bible.
