City - St. Genevieve State - MISSOURI Country - United States
About
This house is typical of French influence in the mid 1700s in an area that was The Louisiana Purchase before it was purchased from France that became the Midwestern United States. Small trading towns grew up along the Mississippi River and houses along the river were constructed on pilings to cope with the seasonal rising of the Mississippi River. This particular house, along with other houses of the period, is located in the old section of St. Genevieve, Mo.
A lovely shot of this old residence that is remarkably well preserved considering the period in which it was built. Wonderful natural tones and good detailing Jerry. Love too the very informative 'about'. Best wishes to you my friend.
