Beautiful in its simplicity, this image has a bit of everything. Color, light and shadow, shape, lines, and that yellow & blue combination. Takes a good eye to take a photo like this.

I love this take on an arch - it isn't exactly an arch because of the angle of the shot and the shadows makes it strange.
It occurred to me this morning when I was out on my run that maybe that is the secret to good photography (if you aren't into purely representational photography) you have to make it strange. I learned the idea of making it strange in poetry. Don't tell people what they know in the language they know - tell it to them different -make it shocking. Don't show them what they see everyday make them pause and look again.
That said - regarding your image - almost perfect except that I think this one should be "tack sharp" as the critics say. I think the foreground shadow (or shadowed edge of arch) is soft (could be my monitor).
