You should straighten out the horizon, it's tilted.
Maybe sharpen it a bit, and it should really show either more or less fogginess (due to the snow you say) to be interesting.
More shadow detail also wouldn't hurt at all.
All in all a promising idea that has some implementation flaws. Keep trying!
