About The fly may not be unusual but he was unusually patient because I managed to run 3 focus stack sequences without any subject movement. I didn't use flash, and perhaps that may have helped keep him calm. This is the best of the three focus stacks. (Hand held field stacks are relatively uncontrolled and never perfect.) Perhaps this one is good enough? Magnification is greater than 3:1.
