Sorry, Bob. I should wake up before I put my brain in gear. I underexposed the birds in full sun so that the birds going into the shadows became only a texture and then were lost.

Bob, there's high key and low key. A straight wildlife photo would have been flat and uninteresting. By deliberately shooting the birds in full sun a half stop under, just become a texture and are then lost. It sets a mood for the viewer and hopefully even a little drama.

Interesting composition, I like this shot. It looks a bit dark to me, but that probably the film limits as you sure did a good job of capturing the white on the flamingos.
