Fabio, everybody said already what I had to say about your picture. For me, it has Fabio written all over it. Funny but you can change from on subject to another and still it will say: Fabio's. Marilia

I love the sky of leaves, Fabio -- they throw such beautiful light and make a soft background for all this stone. Which is gorgeous! An unusual angle that works very well here.

I didn't think of it as a trunk as Masashiko did, I saw it as dive into greenness but I like Masashiko's idea too. Plus his suggestion creates a wonderful word play sense trunk of tree and trunk of body would play of each other...hmmmm....

I also have some doubts (like Rui) about statue shots. But this is wonderful Fabio! I am sure the artist who made the sculpture would enjoy your personal interpretation of his work.

How many views, maybe thought that it was a naked woman? ;-) Original point of view, I like the set of lights and shadows and that dark atmosphere that you always can create in your images. Bye Max PS: your comment to my photography made me laugh :) I am afraid that he was really a millionaire :(

I agree... You have given new and wonderful life to this entity, as we see him emerge from darkness into light - every muscle perfectly accentuated - ready to hunt another lion. Park visitors beware! ;-)) Beautiful job, Fabio.

You have an excellent approach way to the inanimate subjects, you return them the life, that they, probably, had already. Who knows...
As I had already said, I don't use to like and/or comment on statues photos, but your statues are always alive...
Great work with a very difficult and usually uninteresting subjet.

Second ime today I have to agree with Mary, the treeline gives the iumage depth and perspective. Also, if you ever stop looking at everything from a different perspective, I will make sure to remind you in such a way that you go straight back to doing so.

Rarely if ever do I see really original photographs of statues, but through your eeyes I have the pleasure almost every week.

Interesting angle....I like the leaves too...and the light on the statue is really very nice!
:-)

who is it?

btw: I think your comment "backside" is slightly superfluous....or does it mean that we're going to see the front too?
;-)

Great point of view. Im not sure about the tree in the background. Somehow I want to see a hard outline of positive and negative but just a personal thing. Nice work.Regards.

I like the leaves and the dark spot they are what gave it the perspective in this image I like. So many tastes so many different people.

I like how you used the light here to enchance the most important and most striking parts of the image. The perspective is wonderful. And, yeah, the curves are striking. Well done!

Very original statue portrait from an unusual angle. Anyway i hink that with a closer angle you could isolate the interesting curves of the rock, giving it a more abstract feeling, as i think the leaves are a bit distracting, as the dark spot at the bottom lower corner... Regards! Lorenzo
