I like the idea here, however you have centred the footsteps in the composition. What if you had had them going along one edge leaving more empty space to one side, or across the frame diagonally? Also, the waves are out of focus, good... but not blurred enough. I know you are burdened with a deep DOF digicam, but opening up the aperture as much as possible and getting close to the first footstep will help.

Yes, I like your image very much. The colours and conception are beautiful... I like the steps leading into the water which also has the appearance of going off into the sky.
