This is great Bill. Your use of layers ( which I myself am just learning ) works well here. You have definitely brought attention to the subject and avoided any distractions from background. Excellent job. The colors and details are very nice as well. GREAT JOB.

Excelent macro shot, the details in the butterfly are pefect, as are the composition and colours - I love the contrasting blacks and whites of the butterfly, together with the bright pink of the flower. A great piece of work Bill, well done! Regards, Stephen

Missed this one Bill! An excellent macro with good detail - like the background! BTW, thanks for the comment on 'future star' - re the eyes - on juveniles the colour of the eye is black as pitch - when they mature the eye lightens to a very light colour - therefore no glint! I suppose this is a bit of camouflage and protection! Regards!

The quality of Macros on this site is amazing. This is really good. I like your composition and the blured background. The purple and green of the flower really stand out against the background and the butterfly. Good job at using layers. I haven't figured those out yet.
