Excellent composition and colors...my only nit in the color scheme is the ray of light...might consider adding just a bit of black to it with selective color and/or changing the color balance, saturation etc...it seems to be a bit too bright for the rest of the picture...I picture just a bit more dusty feel to it with a layer of grain at a low opacity to give it that dust beam feel...this is just a wonderful composition and one can't help but hold thier eyes to the skull...most enjoyable...and thank you for your very kind comments

Patricia:
Good catch on the light beam. It was the final step late last night and you're right, it needs at a minimum some spectral highlights and shadows.
If you go to the Catacombs, be sure to take a flashlight (so you can see what you're photographing, many areas are completely dark) and a good detachable stroke like the 550 EX for the Canon 10D (I think that's what you shoot with, no?).
Some of my other favorite places for shooting in Parks are Pere La Chaise, Museum National d'Histoire Naturelle, Jardin des Plantes, Parc Floral de Paris, and the Marche au Puces (Fri-Sun).
Best, -Jim

You're getting more gothic with each image. What a title! Very creepy and very effective. The only thing I'm not sure about is the light beam which doesn't quite fit into the composition without attendant shadows etc. I'm going to Paris soon and the Place St. Michel and catecombs will be on my list... I want to revisit the fonts of this creative whirlwind!

Very macabre Jim, I'll try not to dream this scene tonight! Artfully crafted.

If you just follow the light, extraordinary things will happen... and this boy can now see back into the future... next it will be cards and witchcraft... but he is far too young and let him live to a 100!

I looks very morbid but it is very nicely arranged Jim, and you have captured what you set out to do, very well. The tonal range is excellent and I really love the arrangement, this tells a story to me, wonderful - Richard.

Jim,
I love this! I really do - the colors are close to the ones I thought for fear (with fear I would have gone harder and more metallic). Everything in this comp from comp to tone is perfect imo.
