I like the idea here, and the emotions it evokes, but I'd make a couple of comments:

1. Signs of the "digital altering" are clearly evident in all the strokes, especially in the lighter areas. The same effect might have been achieved with a Photoshop gradient mask, which would have given a smooth, strokeless rendering.

2. A little less barrel distortion (maybe by taking the same shot from a greater distance at a longer zoom than wideangle?) would improve the image a lot. You can also do this by "skewing" the image with Photoshop, "stretching" the upper left corner to the left, and the upper right corner to the right, then re-cropping, to achieve vertical building walls.

Sorry to be so critical. It seemed like a worthwhile effort, though.
