What!
No calculating exposure from the luminescence of the moon because you could'nt find your light meter? You could'nt make the second exposure because the light fell off the crosses? Where's the drama in that?
Just kidding. Great work!

Stephen, Steve and Ron:
Thank you very much for your analysis and reactions. They are encouraging and stimulating!
I had a LOT of fun executing this piece: I was driving along with my wife and kept thinking what striking patterns the cracks made in the pavement! Then I'd think that my wife would flip if I stopped and said I was going to walk out into the middle of the road and start photographing the pavement! Then a few more miles would go by and I'd think the same sequence all over again.
Finally I decided to pull over ... then I started laughing and couldn't stop! When I finally stopped laughing and told my wife what I wanted to do, she did FLIP! But after a while I convinced her to watch for traffic as I wandered along ... fortunately there wasn't much going on, so in about five minutes I had these pictures taken and was on my way.
Anyway, been wanting to tell someone about the history of this photograph ... :>)

Hi Joffre,
Just spent an enjoyable hour or so viewing your portfolio and your web site. Thank you. Don't know how I missed your work before. If you ever have a show anywhere near L.A. please let me know so I can attend.
This is very, I don't know if nice is the right word, in a Minor White'sh, equivalent sort of way. I'm moved.
