About Just got back from Thailand vacation. I tried my new Nikkor lens and Fuji's new Velvia 100F slide film. This monk was very kind to allow me to photograph him. I gestured to him first, to get permission. I wanted good eye contact and more intimate portrait, not one taken a distance away with long telephoto lens. I was not sure how to compose this, so felt it was best to let him stand anyway he naturally felt comfortable, in simple pose, and I tried to limit depth of field as much as I could to blur the background. I hope you like it. Any comments are welcome how ot improve! -- Rodney

Thanks, Kim. :) I am glad to be back home. I've spent last few days picking slides I want to keep from almost 40 rolls of film. I have quite a few I am keeping (not that they are all 'great' but I like. I posted a few to my www.pbase.com/thewizardrod site, but these are not the best...best yet to come (I hope!). I hope to take more photos, especially portraits, like you. :)
