Well, there is a little story to this photo. I was asked by this girl to take some photos of her, because she wanted to give her parents some good pictures of her. We started up and she all by the sudden freezed. She became like scared of the camera. So we some time trying to "unfreeze" her, then in the end I gave up. And said lets try another day, to which agreed. But when I was about to close my bag she started to dance around not knowing that I was looking ... With the camera :-) This is what I love about photography , to capture the right moment at the right time. Sorry that the words are not few, but I just wanted to see if any of you Usefilm?ers have ever experienced anything like this ?
I loved this portrait without reading the story behind it. Where I might not normally like a composition where the subject's face is bulls-eyed in the center of the frame, I think it works perfectly here. The background is interesting but not distracting, the crop just below her white top seems to make her float there, her expression is wonderful (as explained in your story) - very nice. I'd change the subject from people to portrait; it's more than just a people picture...
Rene, YES i have had similar things happen, often waiting long enough will help people with a camera in front of them ... and sundenly they're "dancing" .. A very wonderfful image here, i love the back and it's tones and she is in a different lifgt (so it seems anyway) brighter and forward .. i love it Rene ...
