About Native Americans were uprooted from their homes in the '60s to make way for the Kinzua Dam and Allegheny Reservoir, pictured here. Much of Chief Cornplanter's beautiful kingdom is now underwater.

When I was a kid, we made almost weekly trips to watch the "progress", and I developed some of my love of photography by taking pictures in that region. This photo was recently taken with an ancient Kodak Model 33 4x5 folding camera, which I have partially restored to working order.
