About This old tree has probably stood on this site for 100's of years at Balvaird Castle. The owners recently removed it to tidy up the site! How sad!!

Nice diagonal arrangement and stark simpilicty. Nice to see that an old dog can learn new tricks (from an old dog trying to learn new tricks). Your portfolio is great. Many of the simple , uncomplicated, sparce, beautiful images.

I jumped in my car on the weekend, and drove around a few hours to find something very similar to this to shoot. I wasn't that lucky. Beautiful, simplistic image. Just the way I like them. Well done John!

The diagnonal alignment is very appealing. I think I agree with Alex--it would be interesting to go all the way with this and just crop as a square.

Liked the composition exploring the perfect alinement of cloud, tree and rock. Maybe I'd crop a little bit in both sides to force the viewer to concetrate only in this alinement.
