About Whenever friends ask me to shoot their weddings, I like to photograph their hands with rings near the wedding cake.
Last week the girl was informed she is going to have a baby.

GOod pictrure! The blurred baby's breath takes away from the focal point of the picture which I took to be the hands.

I think there is a little too much going on around the subjects hands. Its hard to see what your trying to focus on in the image.

About you scanner.

When scanning B&W picture, always put the scanner on a B&W Scanning with very much dpi(Resolution).

nice to know I?ve been of help.

Arrey, Thanks for commenting.
Theoriginal is beautiful. I think my scanner is not keeping
detail. But in the picture, colors, cloths, everythinn is
well seen. I have scanned some BW pict and they are getting colors. I have to check what to do.
The light here was: There was a man with a camera recording
the party. I took chance on his lamp (that lit entire room) and use my camera flash for not to lose anything.
Lately I have been doing what you suggested: Using my 135mm and have focused just the hand, fingers and rings.
Soon I will post other.
Thanks and Thanks.

Hi Rey!

Weddings are always great. I have never done a wedding shot before.

This Picture is nice, but I would say, It is really deficult to see the rings. There are alot of Details in the shot. Alot of light and it is dificult to focus your eyes on anything in particular.

I would suggest you get close to you object or use an another lens instead of 50mm. I know you have 135mm, you could use it here instead.

Don?t forget, she has a white dress and he has a black coat. You cannot onl measure the light intensity on one of them. Try to get an average.

I have read the noes under the picture. It is dificult to know exactly how to crop it. I think some better photogrphy is going to tell you that.
