fabulous shot - sure it's a bit dark - but it's a brilliant shot anyway.

This is a real winner, genuinely beautiful. From a (very) quick scan down your portfolio, this is by far my favourite of your photos so far. The pose, expression, the toning, the capture of water breaking on her arm, the contrast between searing heat in the background and cooler shadows, the triangle composition etc etc, all come together nicely.
I don't think it needs any more light on the face at all, part of the story of this photo is the person sunbathing and shading their face from light - the exposure is on the money as far as I am concerned. (and it is entitled "the dark" after all).

Just for an interesting comparison, I've attached a famous photo from arguably Australia's most celebrated photographer, Max Dupain, called "The Sunbather" dating from 1937. This shot has a classic simplicity about it that perhaps your busier shot does not, but I think yours works on a different level. We see the person's face here and are given more of a direct insight into how she is responding to the different elements in her surroundings. I was thinking that a similar selenium tone might also work but perhaps the warmer hue works better with a female subject?

If I were to change anything it would be to add some more blurring to the waves (i.e. decrease DOF) but that's about it. This simplifies the scene a little and makes her stand out in the frame a bit more.

There are not that many photos I see around here that I'd like to have a print of (i.e. that click with my own personal style and have technical and artistic appeal), but this is one of them. I am surprised it has not as yet received more attention. Very well done.

Nice effort and pretty model, but needs more fill li9ght on face. How about a reflector.
