About Rusty saw blade, hanging on the side of an old shed. I took the same shot two years ago. I am fascinated with the shadow.

One of my favorite of your abstract compositions. The blade, shadow, and nail heads are perfectly placed, balanced by the nailheads against the crisp texture of the wood. Very nice!

Great use of the shadow, which not only adds nice depth but also creates an interesting echo in the composition. Blade and wood together also works well as much for meaning as for the visual contrast. Great textures and color here.

A rusty saw blade?
The way you captured it, makes it a jewel shining with a perfect shadow.
Very nice soft colours of the backgroung wood work.
The rusty nails form a beautiful extra decoration on the wood.
Splendid and clever composition

This becomes a design with three elements . . . the blade, the shadow and the wall. Just great!

You are becoming violent, Harlan, and this can be fun!
Love the shadow, the background and the rusty blade, that can kill you both by cutting you in half or by tetanus.

I am also fascinated by the shadow. The textures in this are great. Have you thought of converting to Black and White?
