Hi Sylvain. I came across the picture during a google search for landscapes taken with a Contax T2. I have just bought a superb mint/unused example of this great little camera to supplement my Ricoh GR1-V.

This is a lovely picture with a 'transparency' quality and yet taken on bog standard Fuji Superior 200! I shall have to try some myself in my T2 and see how I get on with it.

Was this a simple p&s shot or did you use any manual overrides? Thanks.

Awesome! When in the right place at the right time, with a great eye, who needs fancy equipment?

Aah sorry, didn't see that =)

Nice work then with your available equipment!

The Contax T2 is a compact camera so I cannot use any filter. Thanks all for the comments!

Bah, not creative... haha! I think it's a great shot and after looking through your portfolio, I think you have an eye for great shots.

For this shot, I think you would get a better angle if you moved further away from the building and moved right so that you would get more of the roof on the sky background (personal preference). Then again, looking at the picture, it seems that you'd have to move a mountain to get a shot from my suggested angle =)

You could also move further up and get a shot looking down at the building (I'm thinking small building nestled in the mountains).

All in all, great shot and good job! I like the way the clouds cast shadows all around the building but not on the building. BTW, do you have a UV filter on your lens? The UV filter will take out the haze you see on the mountains in the back (way back there), giving you greater background detail.

Gorgeous colours and virtually no haze in the background. This vista is truly stunning! Those mountains are amazing... so lush and STEEP! Truly a lovly place and you've seemed to capture the mood perfectly!

Good use of midday light, the most difficult kind. The composition really works: I like how four lines, one from each corner, lead the eyes towards the building. Nice sense of vertigo. Well-done!
