About This is the third in a series I'm posting which have all been taken in my home village of Martock. I just think it's a great place to live and offer these shots as my little tribute to its people and its unique charm. This is an angle on one of Martock's most famous landmarks. It stands by the old market place, having been knocked down just a couple of years ago by the driver of an articulated lorry trying to cut a corner!! Thanks for your views and comments.

This is real nice Chris. I love the levels of changing colors in the sky, nicely saturated and acts as a great backdrop. Nice light and detail. Well done.

Chris, Great image. Your colors in the background sky are fantastic. They do not take away from the focus of the image, but add an additional touch. The pinnacle is great - clean and crisp. I think it's a fine tribute to you home village. Regards, Mike

Chris; re the boys in the surf. I painted their shirts and arms then desaturated until they blended well but still had some detail-- I'm slowly learning PSP on my own, and have just discovered airbrush painting which I'm quickly learning to love. I did a lot of ot on my Sunscape pic. Thanks for your interest. You certainly had some fine images tonight! Cheers. Craig

Good Day to you Chris... Thanks for looking at my recent images... Very deep thinking so early in the monring...
Watched the news today...oh boy.... so sad to see the Concord last blast in the Sky... I got to see it land and take off several years a go at Heathrow..... Stayed the last day at the airport accross fro the airport just to see that magic bird fly...

I love this image of yours, great sky to set this beauty off...
Mike

Chris; an outstanding detail (weather vane) against a dramatic sky-- nice. I'm going to need pastoral guidance on my adjacent Sunscape image;>). Thanks and cheers. Craig

Are these skies the effect of global warming, or the ozone hole, or what? I'm sure we never had skies like that when I lived in England! I already love this series--please keep them coming. You've captured this unusual landmark so well they ought to use it in a brochure advertising Marlock'S charms... I love the contrast between the warm stone colours and the larger-than-life glorious technicolour sky. And of course the wind vane just "happened" to be pointing in the ideal direction? I wonder...
