I like the poppies but whether it's my monitor or the scan the sky and sea look grainy and a lilacy colour and don't add anything to the image... IMHO if the image was cropped just above the poppies it would become a much bolder striking image but then you would lose the sense of perspective, which I think is what you were after... I do love the rich red of the poppies and deep green of the foliage though Ken

This would have been a stunning image if only you had stopped down the camera and got the top 2/3 of the image in sharp focus. The colours are wonderful and the composition is excellent.
