Hi Loyce, The concept of the bird is good, but I would have liked to have seen an even tighter crop. There is a little too much background. I understand that the bird may have been some distance, but then again, the flash was able to carry. Keep shooting. Paul
What a bright bird! Did you saturate the colours in post at all? I find that bright reds don't tend to hold detail very well on film, and maybe it's the same with digital. Other than the loss of detail in its chest, you'e got a great shot... love the catchlight in its eye.
