About This photo was one of my very first macro shots. My intention was to capture the tender beauty of these fresh linden tree leaves.
To me this picture is close to perfect i can not think of anything i could have done to improve this image but i know my opinion is not shared by everyone.
What could i have done/do to improve this piture?
(note: the tiny leaves on top are no flowers but cotyledon)

One thing I would add is to move just a touch so that your main light source was not in the middle of the shot. It gives you a bright area that would be nicer to the eye with some diffused light.

And as a macro lover, please shoot and add more!

Nice shot - usually I prefer to see the "face" of the flower (or cotyledon), but this angle works really well - it really anthropomorphizes the plant and makes it look almost contemplative. The lighting is also a nice touch.

The only thing I would have done is add a tiny bit of toning and/or contrast in PhotoShop, just to make the plant really stand out (I toned it with yellow, green and red in my example). Also, to maximize impact, you could have placed your subject on a vertical third rather than smack in the middle of the photo. For example, if you placed the cotyledon at the bottom left third of the photo, the line of the branch would draw the eye across the scene and lead it right to your subject.

Anyway, I rather liked this shot - not your typical run-of-the-mill flower pic. :)
