What a fascinating picture! I can imagine it as the setting for a murder mystery... quite a threatening atmosphere. Did you have to fool the camera to get it to take the scene that dark? My quarrel with digital cameras in my brief flirtation with them was the bland uniformity of the exposures and the difficulty of tweaking them manually. This, on the other hand, is just about perfect! (My experience was four or five years ago. They've probably improved a lot since then. I like the sound of that stabilizer you mentioned, the one that can give sharp hand-held shots at 1/8th sec!)
