this is much better!tightening up the composition focuses the attention where you wanted it. Even the chest blaze of your cat leads the eye into the frame.
I love the yellow eyes, they really grab you! and the legs of the dog circling his buddy, I don't think I've seen that in a cat/dog before! You've managed to get some detail in the black coat which is not always easy.
My sister's dog and our cat had a special relationship too. I'm glad you caught these on film. a very nice keepsake.

Don't you just love animals. They never hate you, can't talk back...well sort of, and are truly loyal no matter what kind of day you are having. I must have hundreds of end of the roll slide that I use on my two babies. Nice shot of these two together!
