Well, the 105 mm lens is the perfect portrait lens and Mirjam is using a lens that is certainly capable of that. She is using a 24-120 mm lens. So she doesn't need to buy one thing.
I love the intensity of the light in the eyes. It is really beautiful and it feels that the model is looking into our soul. I love the abstrast of the black and also its simplicity. This is nearly a perfect shot. However, my only criticism is that I would have cropped the frame down just a tinch to perhaps remove the distracting red and yellow design element in the backgound. That bothers me a bit.
And if a person has seen to much of exceptional photography like this then I don't know if there is any help for them at all.
This is really and truly LOVELY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
