I like the composition a lot with the juxtaposition of the "ancient" institution against the modern high-rise. I think a couple of things could be done to manage the brightness of the high-rise in the background: either a simple bit of burning in or (if its a wet print) a very quick pre- or post-flash of the print (no more than half a second) to dull down the background a bit more. Still its good work.

Butterfly, I really like this as well. I think if you would crop this on the left where the last row of strong vertical lines are on the building on the left, it would correct the illusion and bring focus back to where it belongs. Am looking forward to seeing more of your work. Regards.

something about this keeps bringing me back...i like it, but the vertical lines in the background aren't vertical and it's a bit distracting is all. i'm not sure if there was any way to fix that, but i still like the photo. good tones...what film did you use?
