About This light poisonous snake is just two and a half feet long and therefore I did use a macro lens to take this shot. I also did use fill flash with a Nikon SB 28 flash unit.

Wow, Harry - what incredible detail! It definitely looks like you were too close, but I hope separated by glass? I love the way the whole foreground part of the snake is in good focus, while behind you can see more doubled around and fading into a blur... Very well done!
