Glad you got that trip to CA; I was afraid it wouldn't happen!
Don't know how much I like having the horizon split the frame, but man, those colors are dynamite! And I happen to LIKE the "house" for the reflection in the glass! Cool shot, Chels, m'lady!

Hi Larry! What I liked about the building was the colour reflected in the windows. You must have had an incredible view. For most of the shots taken on the pier I rested my elbows on the railing.

Chelsea, I might agree about not including the house... if it weren't for the fact that I used to live in that very building (it's actually a condominium); and the nostaliga is therefore clouding my judgment. And I can tell you from personal experience that the horizon really is tilted in this part of Southern California, so in fact you shot it accurately.
