About Despite the Pshop polish, the color is pretty much as-shot. This is the inside of a water tower that stands in Seattle's Volunteer Park. Stairs run between the tank and the building that houses it, leading to an observation area above.

Thanks for your comment, Michelle. Actually, by "polish" I mean I used some of the many adjustment tools in Photoshop, rather than a specific tool or filter itself.

Great shot! If I may ask, where is Polish in Photoshop? Just learning & can use help.

Love the angle and the color! It has a fairy tale essence. regards, beth

There's a certain haunting mysticism here. You know I am a big fan of b&w photography, but here is a perfect example of how color augments the shot -- could not imaging this any other way. Truly great work.

The colors and composition are both stunning. There is a strong feeling of invitation. Very compelling.

Lovely geometry/lighting. Great find! Excellent capture! (I would go back and take somemore shots of all those rivets.)

I know the location of this shot.. you've made it even more hauntingly beautiful than it is in person. Great work Mr. Caldwell.

The lines and curves of the image are really great, and so is the color. It's a nice play of the metal versus brick.

Exactly how does one break into photography as a paying commercial career? Like many of Mister Caldwell's photographs, this one (besides its visual beauty and compositional originality) strikes me as instantly usable as a science fiction book cover or movie poster.
