Thanks for your comment, Michelle. Actually, by "polish" I mean I used some of the many adjustment tools in Photoshop, rather than a specific tool or filter itself.

There's a certain haunting mysticism here. You know I am a big fan of b&w photography, but here is a perfect example of how color augments the shot -- could not imaging this any other way. Truly great work.

Exactly how does one break into photography as a paying commercial career? Like many of Mister Caldwell's photographs, this one (besides its visual beauty and compositional originality) strikes me as instantly usable as a science fiction book cover or movie poster.
