To be your first try ,congratulations, you start up doing a thing I don?t know how to do,Working with layers? One day, I?lll learn...
Lovely and excellent shot.
Thanks for your comment to my reader in the blue square.

I like your towm but obviously it has not the same impact that it has for americans, as this is like an european, very nice, indeed, town.

Sandro, you have a great eye and an ability to see very interesting things in everyday life! I also like your PS work. Very creative! If you had the chance to take this shot over, you might consider putting just a bit more in space at the bottom and having the entire fire hydrant in the photo. I think that will add to it. But overall a really good job!

Fun shot, well done! I've been trying to learn photoshop also and recently submitted a photo titled "warning" where I used the same technique.
By the way, it's nice to meet you, Sandro. I think when I see red, I'll think of you!

Thanks for your recent comment on my picture.
This is nice, the red fire hydrant and the B&W background. I'am not quit at home whit Photoshop, so I wonder how you did this; it's certainly a nice effect!
A friendly greet Tim

Sandro, I've always wondered how you do this. I'll have to explore.

You have good lighting on the hydrant. Just enought to reveal the shape. But a pity it's not quite vertical.

Rob.
PS thanks for your comments.

Nice idea and very good desaturation. I agree with Antonio about the cropping.

Regards, Aliyar.

good desaturation quality but cropping in the bottom is wrong in my opinion
