Having the rocks in the foreground in focus makes this work.

I think it can go either way with the foreground. With less foreground it has an off-in-the-distance kind of spaciousness, more flat. Not necessarily better or worse, to my eye, but I felt the rocks (visible because the photo was taken about 8 inches off the ground) made it less standard.

Cool place, Ken. I need to get out there. I'm thinking there is a little too much foreground, but you did capture a good sense of space.
