not a bad moment to get brenda. looks like a fun little wave. like jim, i think this is just a touch soft. next time, you'll want to try a couple of things: make sure you are in AI servo mode and use center weighted metering. what ISO setting was your d60 on? you'll also want to leave the in camera sharpening off and then touch that up in photoshop afterwards.

Tough lighting. The sun to his back also makes for less than ideal lighting as you can't see his face to clearly. Your subject seems a bit softly focused as well, but I'm guessing this is due to his motion and a slower shutter speed. Adjusting the exposure or shuttter speed settings on your camera should do the trick to get a sharper image. Great action shot and composition. The space you've left in front of him lends itself well to the feeling of his moving into the wave.
