I think I see what you mean:) I'm always open to suggestions and ideas. This always helps to give me different ideas and such in my photography adventures.
Ok. I think I understand what you would like to have conveyed in this image. I definetly will try to remember to open my eyes to the different angle and view when I see such a scene again. I'm not sure I could get the moon reflecting at this time of day with the sun shining from the west side onto the land area closest to the bottom of the screen. I metered on a tree close to this area then recomposed for lighting. The trees I must admit are a bit bland..maybe in the spring or early fall next year I'll be able to get this again with some awesome colors on the far background of land. I could have sworn I had taken a wide angle view of this scene but alas it was not in my roll of developed slides?
To be abstract it has too many details. But I like the blue of the sky reflected in the water. To be a nice landscape it is too flat IMO. I like that you have included the moon, but it is in the center. I also like that you have included rocks in the foreground, but I think you should have gotten much closer to them with your 28mm.
Since the lake reflects the sky, maybe the moon could reflect one of the rocks, if you would place it more above the rock that's in the left.
