About I used flash at the beginning of the long exposure to capture the raling. I then moved the camera in a diagonal direction to blur the lights on the street below. I didn't edit this in photoshop except for re-sizing...

I always enjoy shots like these cause they are not abstract( which is why I was happy to see you called it a still life) these points of view exist and the camera is just a tool that allows us to see them.
