I like the potential of this shot, but I agree it is too dark. I hope you don't mind, but I edited it a little in photoshop. I just increased the contrast and brightness a little, and used a little unsharp mask on it. What do you think?

I actually printed it darker than the contact print because it was a little too gray. Hmmm...side lighting might have helped but i mostly try to use only natural, given light. But thank you for the comment, Anindya! Thank you very much, Harvey. I appreciate your encouragement greatly.
P.S. I LOVE your images, Anindya and Harvey, and look forward to seeing more

The texture and pattern are interesting .Would a little more brightness have made the image better?Perhaps u can try it out with side lighting.

Thanks, Harvey. This one didn't convert to the computer very well - it made it even darker. The print is lighter and has much better contrast. Perhaps it wasn't worth posting, but oh well. :-) Thanks for your advice!

If perhaps this had a bit more contrast and brightness the texture and detail would capture my eye. At this juncture it's somewhat of a dark mass.
