Hi Emily, I love seeing what you're going to come up with next. This is an interesting image but as Marc and Barry have mentioned the blur doesn't seem quite right. I would also suggest some more fill light.

You mention you don't have a tripod yet may I suggest, if money is an issue, you can get a pretty cheap one at Wal-Mart that will do just fine until you can afford a better one. That's what I started with. However, depending on the length of the exposure subject movement will be a problem as well as camera movement. If you post the details of your shots (specifically: aperture, shutter speed, iso speed, and lighting info in the about) we might be able to add more specific suggestions. If you camera doesn't store that info then create a spreadsheet and write it down.

Hope this is helpful. Keep shooting and keep posting!

Barry

I would just like to thank you so much for always having input on my photos... Your comments are always welcome and always constructive! At first I started taking pictures just for fun but now I'm starting to love it and am considering it as a career along with Interior Design.

I also wanted to thank you about your comments on me modeling *hehe* I am actually trying to get a deal as a model but its extremely hard!!

Last, most of my favorite photos that I take are long exposure bc I think the colors come out so beautiful when its long exposure the only thing is right now I don't have a tripod!

But again Barry THANK YOU! I'm always looking forward to your comments!! :)

Emily,

You have such a classicly beautiful face, I hope you are considering modeling in addition to photography. As Marc commented, the blur is interesting, but a razor sharp portrait of you would be more interesting. Keep shooting!

Beautiful expression, nice warm colors... Now the question is: was the blur intentional ? If it wasn't you may want to give a few technical details... Best regards.
