I'm a big fan of B@W, and I think anyone else who is would agree this is an above average shot. The tail is a little overexposed, but I think the composition makes up for it. Respectfully, Jeff

very good capture Dan and you have made a beautiful BW from it. I got inspired from your shot with the strawberry in the glass and tried it but I could only find a lemon and got water on my camera so I gave up after one shot..you do very creative stuff regards roger

Wow it is beautiful. In smaller picture I didn't sow what is this. You are very lucky with this shot, I'm a little bit enviable :-).

Synchronicity. Excellent background effect on the trailing edges of their wings. You must have taken a "couple" of shots before you got this, eh?!?! The sign of a Master is one who is patient, and picky. You are both. That's why you're my fave. ...Brad

Beautiful backlighting is the first thing that catches my eye - the luminous quality of the trailing edge feathers and the tail feathers. Wonderful composition

Nice action shot. I like the details of the birds. the choice of black and white is good as we get a good level of tones. Great job

This is perfect. There is a theory that Leonardo da Vinci had the ability to see movement in this way . . . that his brain was able to essentially photograph objects in motion, and then to recreate them in drawings later, and analyze them more fully due to this ability.
