About They were actually just sitting like that on the stage of my church/daycare after they first came in and the sun through the huge window sort of behind them was shining on them and I thought it looked adorable... so I quickly whipped out my camera... the quality is kinda bad though because they were a little far away so... yeah! Thanks for looking though, feel free to tell me what you think!

Fantastic light. I think the quality is quite fine. It gives some old looking mood to the picture. Soft and tender. Regards

Hi Rachel, thanks for recent comments. This has the look of an orphanage, has an almost melancholy feel, aided by your tone. It's been said about the light but you've turned he so called technical faults to your advantage. The strong light gives an optimistic slant to the more generally sad mood. Who ever said the 'rules' can't be broken. Ian

Hello, i lookt a bit around in your portfolio and you sure got some impressive black and white photo's from kids.
As for this one, the lightplay is really superb. When i lookt at the photo i actualy thought wow it looks like a church of something, and then i read what you said and hey it is taken in a church!! It doesn't look so far away although it indeed could be a little bit sharper. But overall: Excellent!

Well the kids, the light everything makes a soft mood. They also seem to be a little out of focus but that adds some more softness.. The lighting and the expression is just incredible, but I do think it looks a little to soft, but I also think thats just personal tast :)
Good work and excellent shot!!
Greets Tim.

I think you are really on to something here. I like the strong lighting, altho the boy on the left needs a bit more, and the boy on the right needs a bit less. I love the feeling of this photo...very nice to me.
