excellent field shot in bW the best I have seen up until now here, the way you choose to put a human presence then adds a lot to the entire, dramatic mood

Crikey Rog.... I have a feeling of Faye Godwin mixed in with some sort of Irish but then the grass and shadow anchor me back.. maybe its just the kikuyu that gives it away but great work mate!

This is my favorite of these! Love them all, Roger!!

Consider Icarus, pasting those sticky wings on,
testing that strange little tug at his shoulder blade,
and think of that first flawless moment over the lawn
of the labyrinth. Think of the difference it made!
There below are the trees, as awkward as camels;
and here are the shocked starlings pumping past
and think of innocent Icarus who is doing quite well.
Larger than a sail, over the fog and the blast
of the plushy ocean, he goes. Admire his wings!
Feel the fire at his neck and see how casually
he glances up and is caught, wondrously tunneling
into that hot eye. Who cares that he fell back to the sea?
See him acclaiming the sun and come plunging down
while his sensible daddy goes straight into town.

These stunning clouds again... Looks so beautiful, and works really well in black and white too which I wouldn't really have thought before I saw this. Superb, Roger!

Ps. I replied to your question under my photo (after I stopped laughing) ;-)

tu e il tuo 17-40 attraversate un momento di grazia

At last I get to see one of yr 17-40mm The clouds are stunning, judging the shadow it was either late or early on the day. Excellent, Roger.
