For the couple of folks who asked, this is a "Princess Plant," growing outside the cottage I share with my sweet one, and there are some others of this plant, both budding and full flowering, in my portfolio. This is the very first portion of a new bud as it develops . . . Thanks for asking and for the comments.

And what type of plant is this Steven? I would like to know too- this is fascinating and appealing not only because of the colors but the depth of field as well. Great job.

Very nice, I too like the muted color, I think it fits this photo very well.

PS: The muted colods is one reason I liked this so much, I think they're gorgeous, and too many times people boost saturation excessively....Randy
