A part from poor appearance of the man's face , this great photo in all means. What Amna mentioned is true they used to visit each house knocking the doors to renewing Traditional mattresses, well done

Very interesting capture Rawabi, the cotton is flying every where...as far as i remember, when we were kids, a man from Iran used to come to every single house in our place to make "matra7" mattresses , and we had him in our home several times.

Ameed, I didn't know either that this was done here in UAE.. as far as I know we don't grow cotton here!!!!! wanted to ask him about it but cotton was flying all over my face that I had to sneeze and stop trying! lol btw, the man in the picture is egyptian not UAE local..
Carolyn, yeah it is hard to keep whites white.. and unfortunately the mens traditional custom in the Arabian Gulf Area is that white "kandorah".. it's like masses and masses of whites walking everywhere.. lol

I think this is a very good photo and intersting too. I spin my own wool (just a hobby) and am curious about the process this man goes through to turn this fiber into something useable. This is probably a stupid comment, but when I see someone dressed all in white like that, I wonder how difficult it must be to keep clean all the time. His clothing looks so nice and spotless. Anyway, this is an excellent photo in my eyes, showing a man at his work. I like the cotton flying everywere! The woven background/walls look wonderful and very intriquing also. The golden color really adds to the photo, against all of the white. Great job! Carolyn

I like the action in this one... nice colors too... couldn't leave a comment for the old man & cup of coffee... so this commment is for both... that one was really special... I too love strong dark spiced coffee, without sugar... I think it's one of the best things in life Hugs, Hanna
