About I was taking the pic for this kid, i think she was more interested to play that to pose ;) she is wearing traditional clothes for UAE ... I toned the pic , to give it an oldish look, but i am not sure about the contrast...any suggestion?

Lovely portrait og a beautiful girl. Her dress is so nice and also the innocent expression on her face. Sweet child of paradise. Awsome.

Hi Amna,

I think the contrast in this picture is just fine, at least in this toned version. I like the framing as well. My only gripe is that I feel the DOF if a bit too much. I would have preferred more blurring in the background.

Great portrait, though.

personaly the best photos of children are them just being themselves. no poses. it's to fake. and look at this shot you say she didn't want to pose. this is very beautiful. shot is gorgeous. and I love the tone you used.

When you look as sweet as that you can't ask photographers to leave you alone. It just won't work!

Very good portrait of a cute kid! I love her clothes! Contrast in portraits is usually as low as possible, so the image looks perfect to me. Very good work! PS Haven?t seen you around. Disliked my present subject?

Hi Amna! I like it a lot. Contrast for me good enough, but only her face can be little bit darker(look how I see this, but it's just my variant)). Her pose and background just excellent. I like this wonderful tone.

Hi there amna ..This is beautifull image of yours.. I think the light is bit high or strong, maybe it was taken in daytime light!!!!. I like the background, it just added some texture to the image..Sepai effect is one of my fav. Try toning it more ..and let us know ...

the contrast is fine.. it is a nice photo... maybe the lighting is a little bit harsh on her face but that is being picky :) good work

Another great photo, you can not get better contrast with UAE "sun" only to avoid certain hours which your chance is not always there. I like so much the back ground "foot prints"
Showing too many foot prints and no sing of human been, a part from Arabic BARBEE.
---- Answering your question about my photo:
I took this photo in a small village near Mombasa .The town of Mombasa is a major sea gateway for eastern Africa and is Kenya's oldest and second largest metropolis.

I think that it is a great shot, one suggestion could be to turn her completely away from the sun so the side of her face isn't as hot, but you haven't lost detail so that is just a very picky point. I think the contrast is good, and the photo as a whole is great!

I think the contrast is just fine, Anna. I like the tone as well. Maybe add some film grain to give it a 'sandy' look?
