This little Song Sparrow was happy to be a portrait subject in Bosqué del Apache, NM last December. The blue behind him is not sky but water in one of the estuaries.
Terrific shot, Fred! I really like the composition, with all the diagonal lines giving a sense of movement and dynamic, and the little sparrow breaking that pattern, and beautifully placed.
