Here's a typical tourist snap. The panorama camera is fine for these. And with the TX-1 I can always go back to standard format if the panorama format doesn't suit...
Matej, this was one of the times I wished I had had another lens for my TX-1. The 30mm would have let me get the roofs and the railings in, no problem, and the 90mm would have brought the tourists up close. I had my back against the wall on a narrow pavement and the road was far too busy to venture out into it for a shot. That's why I cound as just a "snap," a nice momento of a good day I spend with the boys in Windsor. I hate to sound defensive, but I really value your criticism.
I don't quite see why the double yellow lines mentioned by Chris should be a problem. What bothers me more is the choice of distance from the buildings. You seem to have been standing in a sort of 'no man's land', not far enough to avoid cropping off the very tops of the buildings and the bottom of the railing, and not close enough for a more decisive crop and more emphasis on the tourists.
Shame about the double yellow lines!! Nice panorama all the same. Bags of interest ~ a quality image as we've come to expect from you Roger. Kind regards, Chris. P.S. re. Truro Cathedral 001 ~ You're absolutely right! This is a very difficult cathedral to photograph as it's bang in the middle of the shops! In fact, I couldn't find a single place where I could get a picture of the whole of one side! So, yes, I did a lot of work on the converging verticals, as well as the levels, to get the shot that you see. Thanks for your kind comment, but I don't think they'll be more than a few in this series!
I think i like (1) more becose i HATE tourists, i am one myself i know, but they brake everything, wright there names on everything, i know that ain't all of them but.. I just don't like them. Walking in Paris with a t-shite i Love Paris and in ny I love NY. But in the serie this is a good photo, you get a good idea of how Windsor looks like, not only a quite but also a touristic place. It get you back in the facts, that it ain;t a quite place, but a touristicly place too! Greets, Lex
