911 Emergency Services respond to an accident approx 9:45pm, shortly after a sports car looses control on icy roads at a busy intersection, smashing into another car then a lamp pole.
Mandy, no I didn't turn this image into the papers for cash. However, had I, no permission or release form would be needed as no individual is identifiable from this distance and angle. Also, neither the license plate of the black car, nor the Police vehicle are visible for any would be "Sherlock Holmes", to gather further information from the image. Taking that into consideration, I believe where this happened in public for all to see, that much like news reports you see on TV, there shouldn't be a problem with publishing if it came down to it. Brian, 2 questions.... did you turn this into the newspaper for cash? Also, did they allow (as in know and approve) of this shot? Just curious because this is yet another field that picques my interest and I wondered if permission was needed. I love the shot! So glad you got the word 'police' in there without blur! The lights, the men, the wording, it all seems so crunched together just like an illucid dream which I am sure is what this night seemed like for whatever person or persons were involved. I hope things turned out okay. great capture! ~mandy
