I agree with Stephen. I am constantly seeking images that aren't the "norm" for children and you have done it here. She has such dark, moody eyes... the shot is sad but in a good way.

I think it is refreshing to see a darker or more contemplative side of children. It is a subtle breaking of rules that put interest in the image IMO. Not sure if it would be better if we saw more of the doll's face. Having the same pattern dresses makes us wonder whether the doll has anything to do with the apparent mood of the girl.

This shot has a great dour "mood" to it that is perfect in B&W. I'm a little torn on whether the back wall being two different shades is a liability (obviously, it was shot in a corner), but the lighting and composition look good to me..:)
